I won’t lie, I think my travel blog is pretty good. You probably have one too, if you are here. Although I strive to give you the best practical travel advice, I am not the only travel blogger who is great. It’s true — and this may shock you — I am not an expert in all things travel. What about family travel? No idea. What is it like to travel as a female? Clueless. Hotel information? Just a little. Photography? If that’s what counts, I can turn on my camera. Food expert? Food expert?
It’s been quite a while since my last post about the best travel blog out there, the one that I read. I thought I would take this opportunity to highlight some of the blogs I enjoy reading that will help you to travel more efficiently, affordably, and intelligently. There are many useful blogs on the internet. I feel I’ve been overdue in pointing you towards some of them.
Raimee Travel
Raimee is a great new creator. She used to manage the social media of this website, but now she does her own thing. She teaches people how to travel better via videos on Instagram and TikTok. Her website has a lot of amazing itineraries.
27 Travels
Gabi and Shanna, a lesbian pair based in NYC, provide information for vegans and LGBTQ travellers. Of course, they have resources and guides for everyone, but these two topics are their specialty. They shared many good travel tips and got off the beaten track.
Budget Traveler
Kash is one of the original travel bloggers. He produces a lot of content to help backpackers travel better, more sustainably and more off the beaten track. He is probably the only person that I know who has been to more hostels than me! He is a great writer who knows a lot about travel trends. As his name implies, he’s all about cheap travel.
Ottsworld
Sherry Ott is another OG travel blog that provides a wealth of information to adventurous women over forty. Sherry Ott’s blog is a great resource for travelers of all ages. However, Sherry offers a unique perspective that will be helpful to non-Gen Z or millennial travelers. She has visited over 72 countries, and enjoys hiking and other nature-based activities. She even does travel planning and organizes small group tours. She is the real thing.
Oneika the Traveller
Onieka, a blogger I admire, is not afraid to talk about the “real side” of travel, or to discuss racial bias when she travels. She also discusses life as a female black traveler. She is an Emmy-winning host and has visited over 100 countries. Her tips and tricks are very practical. She offers a lot of advice for family travel, as she travels now with her husband and their daughter.
